Fellowship

From Ashford District Scouts

Jump to: navigation, search

Much as we would like all our Scouts to become leaders when they reach a certain age it is understood that not everybody is able to make that regular weekly commitment. The Scout Fellowship was invented for the benefit of those who want to help on a less regular basis.

If you join you may or may not have been a scout in your youth, you may or may not choose to wear uniform and make the Scout Promise but you will be keen to actively support Scouting in the Ashford area in a way that suits your particular skill, knowledge and time availability.

The Fellowship meet half a dozen times a year either socially or to plan the support that they are going to give. We have made a list below of the sort of "Active Support" that we give to scouting and with more members we could add significantly to this list.

. Help to manage the Scout Shop on Saturday mornings.

. Provide stewards for district events.

. Help to staff county events.
