Explorers
From Ashford District Scouts
Explorer Scouts are usually between 14 and 18 years old. They are organised in Units around our District and may take part in increasingly adventurous activities. All units are linked with existing Scout Groups. Explorer Scouts have the same Law and Promise as Scouts and other adults in Scouting.
Explorer Scouting is looked after by the District Explorer Scout Commissioner.

We have 7 Explorer Scout Units in Ashford and they are:

| * Smugglers | - Who meet in Ruckinge |

| * Woodchurch | - Who meet in Woodchurch of course! |
There are also some people who are Explorer Scout Young Leaders, they may not be a member of a specific Explorer Scout Unit, but they can take part in any of the district events.

Ashford District operate a moderated forum on this site that allows registered members to keep up to date on the program of their unit and other units within the District. There are a few memorable items regarding historical events along with a number of recent photos in the Explorer Scouts Forum.
